Created for the edge
and everything beyond it

A compact network surface with modern transports, predictable routing and no unnecessary layers.

01 /

Low latency

Short paths and conservative transport settings keep interactive traffic responsive.

02 /

Resilient

Different transport modes provide practical alternatives across changing networks.

03 /

Encrypted

Current TLS and authenticated transports protect data on public and private networks.

04 /

Multi-protocol

HTTP-based and UDP transports cover stable Wi-Fi and variable mobile conditions.

05 /

Minimal surface

Only required services are exposed; control components remain on the loopback network.

06 /

Easy setup

One subscription keeps compatible clients and routing profiles up to date.

ROUTER / OPENWRT

One setup.
Every device.

FrostNod can run at router level through a compatible OpenWrt client. Phones, laptops, TVs and consoles use the protected route and reach resources through FrostNod automatically — without configuring a VPN app on every device.

01 /

Whole-home coverage

Connect once at the gateway and use FrostNod across your Wi-Fi and wired LAN.

02 /

Devices without apps

Smart TVs, consoles and other devices can use the route even when they have no VPN client.

03 /

Routing control

Apply the tunnel to the whole network or create policies for selected devices and destinations.

COMPATIBILITY CHECK

Will my router work?

  1. 01
    Find the exact model

Read the manufacturer, model and hardware revision from the label on the router. A v1 and v2 may be completely different devices.

  2. 02
    Use Firmware Selector

Search for that exact model and revision. If it is missing, do not flash an image made for a similar router.

  3. 03
    Open the device page

Confirm the supported release, installation method, image type and any device-specific warnings.

  4. 04
    Check the resources

For extra packages, OpenWrt recommends at least 128 MB RAM; more than 32 MB flash is preferable. VPN speed also depends heavily on the router CPU.

BEFORE YOU START

Benefits and limitations

Advantages

  • One configuration protects many devices
  • Works for TVs, consoles and IoT
  • Central routing, DNS and access policies
  • No need to keep an app open on every device

Limitations

  • Installation is different for every router model
  • A weak CPU can reduce tunnel speed
  • Wrong firmware can make the router unbootable
  • Some ISP routers and locked devices are unsupported

FrostNod support depends on a compatible routing client and router architecture. Availability of individual transports may differ by firmware and installed packages.

Flash carefully

Back up the original settings, download the vendor recovery firmware, use wired Ethernet and stable power, and follow only the instructions for your exact hardware revision.

Seven transports. One network.

Every check establishes a real encrypted tunnel and requests an external endpoint. Values refresh automatically.
